A chicken workshop like no other!! This 3 hour workshop begins on the farm with an in depth dive into the world of chicken keeping. We will cover the basics of Flock Selection, Housing, Space needed, Diet & Nutrition, Health, common illnesses & organic treatments, housing, bio-security and pasturing your birds. After our morning session, we dive in to a delicious Farm2Table lunch. Afternoon session our participants will each have their own chicken to handle where we will review the basic anatomy and proper care. Participants will go home with a Chicken Keeper binder loaded with reference materials but more importantly, will leave with the confidence of being well suited for their new chicken keeping role. and much more. Our chicken friends will go home with a Cedar Crest Farm bag tote sporting our workshop moto: "Raise Your Food, Raise Your Awareness"
